Cardboards
Is a successful kiteboard manufacturer based in Australia who want to release a new set of custom Kiteboard Designs.

You as a Deviant Artist
Submits one to six designs (using the entry template)
(You may have had your deviation nominated by a KiteForum member)

There will be a prize for the best design entry. Also the top 50 selected designs are destined for the http://cardboarding.com/ gallery. Designs will contain a link back to your profile on deviant art. When a customer purchases a kiteboard, with your design, you will earn a commission.


KiteForum Member
Browses http://deviantart.com/site and looks for deviation designs they would like to see submitted to the competition.




* to qualify for the Voters prize they must

1. be a member of KiteForum.


2. nominate at least six designs by placing a link to the deviant design on the KiteForum thread.


3. have one of your nominated designs selected in the top 50.

Design Entry Rules:

1. Top 50 Designs will be selected by Cardboarding staff based on their opinion of their likelihood of being popular to the buying public.



2. A poll will take place on KiteForum for deciding the winning design.



3. For best chance of a prize, entry should include the “Cardboarding Logo” (or variation – it can be subtle). However, feel free to enter the competition with an existing design – if selected for use on Cardboarding site we will add a cardboarding logo as a watermark.



4. An entry must be a .jpg created with supplied entry template and ideally submit kiteboard designs for top and bottom surface. Here is my big face base sample



5. Only six entries per designer



6. In the description of your submission you must


1. place a link to this journal


2. if the entry is based on an existing deviations, also place a link in the description to the original deviations



7. To submit your design, simply upload it to your gallery with the correct info in your description (see above rule). Send a note entitled "Contest Submission" to *AngryKoalaDownUnder*, with a link to your deviation (links to full-views will be ignored!!) and, if you were originaly contacted by a kiteforum member, their kiteforum username.



8. Designs remain the property of the designer, but selected designs cannot be used by any other kiteboard manufacturer for a minimum of one year

So how is it going to work...

1. Kiteforum member looks for designs on http://deviantart.com



2. Kiteforum member places link for at least six designs (deviations) they like on KiteForum Thread
   
   
3. I send a note asking you to submit your deviation design as a competition entry (this maybe why you are here)





4. Deviant Artist submits entry deviation based on supplied entry template) . Deviation Design Entry, to include in the description a link to original nominated deviation design and a link to this Journal Entry



5. Deviant sends me a Contest Submission note with a link to their deviation entry



6. I add deviation design to my favourites)




7. I add deviation design entry to this Journal

Why am I involved

My company Angry Koala builds business intelligence solutions that allow companies to make decisions on real information instead of hunches. I am also passionate about kitesurfing, having started around 12months ago. Anyhow had this win win win idea. Cardboards want designs, artists want money/exposure, kiteboarders want great looking and performing kiteboards. So *this* is my idea of trying to help us all
